What is Ahuntsic-Cartierville crime prevention?

Crime Prevention Ahuntsic-Cartierville is a community organization that has administered the Tandem program since 1987. Promoting safety and the sense of safety in our community is fundamental within our organization. The activities of Ahuntsic-Cartierville Crime Prevention focus primarily on property and home security, the security of people, including women, seniors, youth and recent immigrants, and public safety, including the fight against graffiti, safe urban development and promoting good relations between neighbours. 

Our mission

Our mission is to prevent crime and strengthen the sense of security in the Montreal community through preventive actions and citizen involvement.

Crime Prevention Ahuntsic-Cartierville has inaugurated 10 murals since 1987.

Since 2008, Crime Prevention Ahuntsic-Cartierville has been busy identifying and cleaning up graffiti on private and public property in the borough to improve the quality of life through the urban cleanliness of the district. Each year more than 3,000m2 of graffiti are removed.

Every summer, Crime Prevention Ahuntsic-Cartierville introduces more than 20 young people to the labor market to give them their first experience.

Every year, Crime Prevention Ahuntsic-Cartierville knocks on more than 500 doors in the borough, to increase the feeling of safety or to raise awareness of safety and crime prevention.
